TV55 was established in October of 1988 as a low power television station. Operating on Channel 55 and serving all of Walker County and parts of the adjoining counties. TV55 telecast 24 hours a day, concentrating on local programming with local live and taped delayed programs over 50% of the time. Live programs include talk shows, political forums, audience participation show, local sports events, and religious programs. Hundreds of hours of public service programs and announcements are aired by TV55. TV55 is carried on all local cable systems in our county and other adjoining counties reaching approximately 120,000 homes. TV 55 is affiliated with Golden Eagle Broadcasting and World Harvest Television. TV55 is locally owned and operated and tries to do as much local programming as possible.
