West Walker decision reversed by appeals court The Alabama Court of Civil Appeals has reversed a decision by a Walker County circuit judge, in effect denying West Walker Hospice from operating in Carbon Hill. Lawyers for the hospice said they will appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court. The court announced Friday it had ruled in favor of the State Health Planning and Development Agency and its Certificate of Need Review Board (CONRB) in the case.

Empire pastor turned author holding book signing today Pastor Roger Snow turned his view of two books of the Bible into a book of his own. Snow found a similarity between the books Exodus and Revelation. His book “Fifty Ways to Leave Left Behind” features the parallel events he found between the two books.“Over a period of several years, I had 30 or 40 parallels,” Snow said. “The book details 50 parrallels, including the great tribulation, a new name for God, Passover, a great dragon, a marriage supper, the throne of God and more.”
